The Occupational Classification Code of the People's Republic of China Occupational Classification Canon (2022) was officially released on September 27, 2022. Casting is the main forming process for metal components and an important component of strong foundation engineering. China is a manufacturing and casting country. Benefiting from the huge demand for castings in the equipment manufacturing industry, China's total production of castings reached 54.05 million tons in 2021, ranking first in the world for 22 consecutive years. There are over 20000 casting enterprises in China, and a large number of casting engineering and technical personnel are active in the industry. However, the term "casting engineering and technical personnel" has not been separately listed in the national professional standards.

Since 2014, the China Foundry Association has been committed to the application of new professions for "casting engineering and technical personnel", which has been highly valued by relevant government departments. In order to adapt to the new changes in the current occupational field and better meet the needs of optimizing human resources development and management, promoting employment and entrepreneurship, and promoting Economic restructuring, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security will launch the revision of the People's Republic of China Occupational Classification Code again in April 2021, and the China Foundry Association will organize a professional team to promote the declaration of new occupations of "foundry engineering technicians", The newly revised Occupational Classification Code of the People's Republic of China Occupational Classification Code (2022) added the occupation of "foundry engineering technicians". For the past decade, the China Foundry Association has always included the work of compiling history as an important political task on its agenda, actively creating conditions, mobilizing elite troops and strong generals, overcoming difficulties and continuously advancing; Hundreds of experts and nearly a hundred units and institutions in fields such as casting technology and management, scientific archaeology and historical research, and cultural heritage protection have invested in this massive rescue project.

9 Huarui Foundry Successfully Developed 18 MW Offshore Wind Turbine Castings

The 18 megawatt offshore wind turbine castings that were taken offline this time include hubs and main frames. As the core components of offshore wind turbines, the wheel hub and main frame have a complex product structure, high contour dimensions, and a maximum weight of 70 tons per piece, with a height exceeding 6.5 meters. They must be able to meet the 25 year service life under harsh offshore working conditions, with strict performance requirements and manufacturing difficulties. Huarui Casting Industry has creatively solved the problems of high filling pressure of molten iron and high-level non-destructive testing of castings through multidimensional simulation, innovation of casting process, and optimization of pouring equipment. The product has successfully completed trial production and been tested by a user expert supervision team. The final spheroidization rate, mechanical properties, and other indicators of the product meet design requirements and exceed European standards.

User evaluations indicate that the 18 MW offshore wind turbine castings developed by Dalian Heavy Industry represent the highest level of ductile iron castings in the world, laying a solid foundation for China's rapid entry into a new era of ultra high power offshore wind power.

10 Mingzhi Technology Successfully Developed a 2000-liter Ultra Large Cold Box Core Making Machine

With the rapid development of large equipment fields such as marine vessel equipment and wind power equipment in China, the requirements for precision and production capacity of large castings are constantly improving. The traditional manual furan resin self hardening sand core making process is difficult to meet the requirements.
